NY Red Bulls and Chicago Fire did not hurt each other in the match of week 8 of the United States – MLS 2024 tournament.

New York Red Bulls came close to turning the result around with two shots by Elias Manoel that hit the post.

John Tolkin’s performance positioned him as the most outstanding player of the match. The New York Red Bulls defender was important for taking 5 balls out of the danger area.

Christopher Brady was another of the outstanding players. The Chicago Fire goalkeeper showed his quality by containing 5 shots.

Several infractions in the middle of the field forced the pace of the game to be cut. There were 2 reprimands: Kellyn Perry-Acosta and Fabian Herbers. He was sent off for a direct red card, Andrés Reyes in the 41st minute of the first half.

Sergii Boiko was appointed as the main referee for the match at the Red Bull Arena stadium.

On the next day, NY Red Bulls will face Los Angeles FC as a visitor and Chicago Fire will play the home game against Real Salt Lake.
