The LA Galaxy hit the BC Place Stadium and beat Vancouver 3-1, for week 8 of the United States – MLS 2024 tournament. The goal of the game for the local team was scored by Brian White (31′ 2T). While the away goals were scored by Dejan Joveljic (11′ 2T), Joseph Paintsil (34′ 2T) and Diego Fagúndez (36′ 2T).

Diego Fagúndez won the applause with his brilliant finish 36 minutes into the second half. Joseph Paintsil served a cross and the striker kicked the ball into the back of the net.
A shot by Dejan Joveljic hit the post 48 minutes into the second half and the LA Galaxy lost their chance to take the lead.
John McCarthy had a great performance. The LA Galaxy goalkeeper was the protagonist against Vancouver Whitecaps FC: he contained 6 shots.
Another player who had a great game was Joseph Paintsil. The LA Galaxy attacker shone by scoring 1 goal and kicking 3 times.

On the next day, Vancouver will face the Seattle Sounders as a visitor, while the LA Galaxy will play as a visitor against the San José Earthquakes. For the LA Galaxy it will be a special event because it will once again meet its eternal rival in a new edition of the California classic.
