Dortmund is in the semifinals after overcoming Atlético de Madrid on the aggregate scoreboard

Marcel Sabitzer scored late and assisted on two more as Borussia Dortmund advanced to the Champions League semi-finals with a wild 4-2 victory over Atlético Madrid on Tuesday.
After losing the first leg of the quarterfinals 2-1 in Madrid, Dortmund had to come back twice on aggregate to advance 5-4 on aggregate.

Atlético coach Diego Simeone responded with three changes after halftime that paid off. An own goal from Mats Hummels and another goal from substitute Joaquín Correa put the Spanish team ahead on aggregate.

But Sabitzer assisted again, now to Niclas Füllkrug in the 71st minute for the German striker’s first goal after going nine games without scoring. Sabitzer later fired into the back of the goal as Dortmund secured a place in the top four teams.
