Colombia scores and goes to the Semifinals!

The Colombian National Team is step by step fulfilling each of the objectives with the identity that its football has given it. Today, June 6, the rival was Panama and those led by Néstor Lorenzo dominated, once again, with the impetus with which they have faced this Copa América.

The prominence of James Rodríguez was present at the State Farm Stadium, with him being in charge of assisting in two and scoring one of the four goals with which Colombia sealed its passage to the next round of the competition.

The first goal was an assist from the ’10’ on a corner kick that Jhon Córdoba (8′) headed hard to beat goalkeeper Mosquera. The team flowed and the goals scored; the second score, James (15′) from a penalty. The National Team continued to control the ball and the game. Once again, the man from Cucuta, with four minutes left before halftime, played a quick ball from a foul in the middle of the field and assisted Díaz who hung up on the Panamanian goalkeeper.

Second half, the National Team did not let go and maintained dominance. Possession that led to Richard Ríos scoring (77′). Finally, Borja closed the victory with which Colombia advanced to the Semifinals of the Copa América USA 2024.
