San José Earthquakes defeated Los Angeles FC and sealed their victory 3 to 1

For week 11 of the United States – MLS 2024 tournament, the host of the match between SJ Earthquakes and LAFC celebrated this Saturday at Levi`s Stadium with a 3-1. The goals of the match for the local team were scored by Rodrigues (4′ 1T), Amahl Pellegrino (9′ 2T) and Denis Bouanga (13′ 2T, against). While the away goal was scored by Cristian Olivera (23′ 2T).

A great play by LAFC, 23 minutes into the second half, was the one that moved the scoreboard thanks to Cristian Olivera. Kei Kamara sent in a cross, which the forward dominated and kicked past William Yarbrough Story.

The best player of the match was Rodrigues. The San José Earthquakes defender had a good level by scoring 1 goal and clearing 7 dangerous balls.

Cristian Olivera also stood out at Levi’s Stadium. The Los Angeles FC attacker scored 1 goal and shot into the opponent’s goal 6 times.

The match was highlighted by a lot of friction and constant fouls that cut the game short. There were several reprimands: Jack Skahan, Maxime Chanot, Sergi Palencia and Vitor Costa.

For its part, Steve Cherundolo’s team took the field with a 4-3-3 formation with Hugo Lloris between the three sticks; Sergi Palencia, Jesús Murillo, Maxime Chanot and Ryan Hollingshead in defense; Timothy Tillman, Ilie Sánchez and Eduard Atuesta in the midfield; and Cristian Olivera, Mateusz Bogusz and Denis Bouanga up front.

Víctor Rivas was the referee who directed the match at Levi’s Stadium.

SJ Earthquakes’ next match in the championship will be away against Colorado Rapids, while LAFC will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
